Before I started flying helicopters I had a good look around for a first-rate instructor. I looked at several different schools that had first-rate instructors but they did not feel right for me.
Anyway, word of mouth led me to Helen. She is a unique individual who is very open minded, professional, and most of all down to earth. When I phoned her up she was really bubbly and friendly, we chatted for ages and Helen explained how the industry worked. She explained what I could expect from a career in aviation, giving me a truthful insight allowed me to make an informed decision. It was a breath of fresh air to meet someone so honest especially when I am investing such a huge amount of money.
I started flying with Helen at Tatenhill Airfield, a great place I might add, where everyone is really friendly. With Helen’s training my flying has gone from strength to strength. She makes flying fun by having a laugh, but still manages to push me hard enough to achieve - money well spent!
